Double V Construction Ltd.
In the early 1960s, the Van Vliet brothers, all ten of them, moved to British Columbia and began working on the construction of some of the Lower Mainland’s most notable landmarks. Their passion for construction and attention to detail is evident in these early projects such as the Bloedel Conservatory at Queen Elizabeth Park (see photo), the Robson Square Provincial Court House and Simon Fraser University’s North Quadrangle.
In 1972, Nick and Paul Van Vliet founded Double V Construction Ltd. Since its inception, the company has grown and second-generation Van Vliets-brothers Glenn and Shane-have taken over the management team to carry on the family business and its reputation for construction excellence and exceptional customer service.
Throughout its history, Double V Construction has had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of construction projects for both the private and public sector. With each new project, Double V Construction’s management team and administrative staff bring their extensive construction management experience to ensure success right from the pre-construction phase and through to post-construction.
